二、用语方面

(一)用语要力求严密、准确、明白。

Party A shall send professors at Party A’s expense to train Party B’s lecturers within 10 days after signing the Agreement.( 如改为Party A shall send professors to train Party B’s lecturers则较笼统。)

(二)多用主动语态，少用被动语态，显得更自然流畅。

The Employees shall observe the rules and regulations of the plant.

尽管合同的条款是规定签约以后的事项，通常仍以使用现在时。

Before completion of the experiment， Party A increase the investment.

(三)少用间接表达方式，多用直接表达方式。

This Contract applies only to stockholders who have been paid in full.(如改为This Contract does not apply to stockholders who have not been paid in full就不那么明确)

(四)能以一个动词表达就不用“动词+名词+介词”结构。

Party Bshall appoint (避免用make an appointment of ) its agency within 15 days after signing the Agreement.

(五)在与英美法系国家签订合同时，多用一些像whereas， in witness whereof， now these presents witness等特殊用语。

IN WITNESS WHEREOF， the parties have executed this Agreement in duplicate by their duly authorized agents on the date first above written.
