2) be worth doing

The film is worth seeing.

The book is worth reading a second time.

3) need/require/ want doing = need/require/want to be done

The house needs repairing = The house needs to be repaired.

Your coat is dirty and wants washing. = Your coat is dirty and wants to be washed.
