上海通用汽车公司说，它正在召回将近25万辆汽车，以便修理会引起汽车停止行驶或起火的有问题发动机燃油管。

这家公司是美国最大的汽车公司通用汽车和上海汽车工业公司的合资公司。

公司星期一表示，它正在召回13万3千辆2立升和2.4立升君威型轿车以及几乎10万辆2.4立升君越型轿车。所有这些车都是在去年10月14号之前生产的。

这家公司说，这些燃油管在极端状况下会破裂，导致汽车引擎发生故障。该公司说，还有燃油泄漏危险，引起汽车起火。

Shanghai General Motors Company says it is recalling almost a quarter-million cars to repair faulty fuel lines that can cause the vehicles to stop working or catch fire.

The company is a joint venture between General Motors, the United States' largest auto company, and Shanghai Automotive Industrial Corporation.

It said Monday it is recalling more than 133,000 2-liter and 2.4-liter Regal sedans and almost 100,000 2.4-liter LaCrosse sedans. All of the cars were manufactured before October 14 last year.

The company said the fuel lines can break under extreme conditions, causing the engines to malfunction. It said there is also a danger of oil leaks, which could cause fires.
