AN instant late, the explosion occurred there.

6、父亲问你什么时候能回来。你说，最迟十点钟回来：

I’ll be back at the finish it on Friday at the latest.

7、老师布置了作业，又说，最迟星期五完成：

You’ll have to finish it on Friday at the last.

8、你说择业问题现在困难很大。父亲说，迟早你也得面对：

Sooner or later you’ll have to face it.

注：

late adj. 迟，晚

(一段时间)靠后一段;最新;最近;前…已故…

adv. 晚;到很晚(夜深)

成语有：till late　直到很晚

of late 近来

later on 将来，以后，过些时候;后来，过了些时候

sooner or later 迟早

latest (late的最高级)

lately adv. 近来，最近

latter adj. 较后的，后面的，后者(加　the)
