Abondedwarehouseisaplace(normally,thoughnotalways,abuilding)licensedbytheCustomsforthedepositandstorageofdutiablegoods.ThepurposeistoallowgoodstobestoredunderofficialsupervisionbeforethepaymentofdutyandthatdutyshouldbecomepayableonlywhenthegoodsaretakenoutofthewarehouseforconsumptionoruseinChina.  Bondedwarehousesareapprovedandlicensedaseither:
